Accent painting interior?

Through this forum: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/appearance-48/color-matched-spray-paint-gm-36332/

I found the SOM color of my 2.4L comes in spray cans. I always thought the accented colors looked nice inside the cobalts. Is there anyone who has tips or experience in adding accent painting? Specifically to things like the plastic part of the door armrest with the window buttons and lock unlock buttons (whatever thats called lol).

Perhaps its not really possible, or perhaps they just pop right off and can be painted and replaced. I really have no clue. Does anyone have any comments on this that might be helpful?

painting looks best when you do good prep work, and take your time! it can look excellent if you are patient and take your time. clear coat, also, to protect from chipping and scratches.

Tastefully done I suppose it can add to the car but most Cobalts I've seen with it done it looks like a paint bomb went off inside their car. There was a blue one one here the other day and it looked like Papa Smurf effin spooged all over the inside of the car...

FWIW, that's not "accent painting"......that's a spaz with a spray can.

I got this car used and the silver ones in the door armrests all are chipped. Its the only "damage" to the interior of the car that I can find. i figure, what the heck, might as well make em look nice.

Also, I guess I didn't really do a forum search for this topic, so my apologies on that. But isn't it silly to take the time to reply to me telling me to search before I make a new topic, rather than help out and just link it if you know where it is?

Yes, that blue interior is um... not accent painting... lol. thanks for the link though, quite amusing! haha. I'm thinking of just doing the arm rest of the door, maybe the cupholders, and potentially the mounting plate for my new head unit.
