Activate bluetooth on non-bluetooth LS Cobalt?

So I bought a leather steering wheel and i know the stereo controls are plug and play automatically. But is it possible to activate the bluetooth function? Or will that work automatically too?

I know on the 2010 cobalts Bluetooth is routed through the onstar system. And I have onstar so I wonder how to get it to work, if at all.

I was wondering the same thing about the remote start. All you have to do is tap the key to get the car to turn over, so what would you need to do to get the remote start to work?

seems unrelated....

There's tons of threads about it, just search it up. it's not just a 'simple thing', you're looking at a security bypass, and the remote start module itself. plus if your car is a manual, I had a hell of a time getting my clutch bypassed, so i just straight pulled my clutch switch out, meaning I could start my car in gear.

/threadjack.

OP If I was a betting man, i'd say you would need a module for it; Wouldn't have any clue about it though.

I don't have Blutooth. but i got the leather wheel installed with the BT/stereo control switches and was wondering if the bluetooth is pre-wired at all? I've read alot about it in other threads that the Bluetooth in '09 and '10 cobalts is routed through the OnStar system.

I don't have Blutooth on my 2010 LS but i do have OnStar. So my question was with the Leather SS steering wheel i have now is it a simple activation to get BT working or will i need something more?

Oh, wait. You have a 2010? You should have bluetooth as it's standard on 2010 models if I remember right. Read your owners manual to learn how to synch it.
