airbag concern?

yeah so im trying to get out the gauge cluster, and uhh do you have to take off the whole dash piece? and if you dont, if you take it off would i have any concerns of the passenger airbag deploying? that would richeously suck. i know you can disconnect the battery to prevent that but im lazy, and was hoping i didnt have to haha... by the way im talking the dash peice that goes that whole way across the top front of the car

The only thing in the dash that has to do with the pass. airbag is the light telling you if it will deploy in case of an accident. If you set off the air bag by just taking the dash trim off take some pics cause I could really use a good laugh.

If you're talking about an A-pillar gauge pod, NO, you do not have to take off any part of the dash. Remove the one screw under the round plug on the pillar, then just pull... three little clips on the back will pop off and then you're home free. The airbag isn't in the A-pillar, so you should be fine.
