Another L.E.D. thread - has it been done?

Hey all. Here's what I'm thinkin' here. I'd like to get some tubed LEDs from Oznium's website and wire em to the floor boards. I know, same ole idea right? I had an additional idea. Do you think I'd be able to wire them up to the dome light so that when I open the doors, the lights come on? If so, would it be possible to fix that problem with the LED dome light where its very dimly on, even if the switch is in the middle (light on with door open). Think this would be a good idea?

One more quick thing.. Was thinking some thin LED's for under the door itself, to shine on the ground when the door is opened. Could it be done as well as the above idea? Thanks!

Yep, it sure can be done... i did it over the summer. At least the under the door parts. It's not to hard really, basically you are going to use the door switches (the ones that are pushed when the doors are closed) as a ground, I used the interior lights fuse as the hot wire. When the switches are released then it completes the circuits are closed and the lights shine down. It's a very fancy effect if I do say so myself. Good luck!

Oh, i almost forgot, i used these LED strips, they are thin enough that they can fit on the bottom of the door sill even when the door is closed.

Check out my ride.
