Anyone with painted calipers....

Ok I already searched the forums and the gallery... so bear with me.

Does anyone have pics of a blue Cobalt (Laser or Arrival) with painted calipers, preferrably yellow? I'm stuck between getting red or yellow. I just can't decide which color will look better. I figured seeing it on a car might help me decide. I searched the forums and gallery and was able to find some red on an Arrival Blue SS/SC, thanks to Alleycat58. I couldn't find any yellow though. Any input on this?

IF u decide to paint ur calipers spend the money and get them powder coated its worth it in the long run. Go with the red yellow would look to ricer on a blue car.

The duplicolor kit is just fine for me. I just need to decide on the color.

I say go with red, I REALLY like the way they look, they look even better in person too. I do think yellow might look a tad ricey on blue, but hey, I can understand if you want to sport the Pitt colors

Haha I thought about that. I actually thought yellow might look better just because red and blue made me think of police cars. If red looks good though, I might go with that.

Red looks amazing, even more so in person. The yellow...not so much. The cars I've seen yellow on it looks like a canary yellow. Very very light and with the blue on the car......I just don't see it blending it with it.

Well I think I'll go with red then. I have the kit already, I just need to find a day where I can go without driving my car... haha.

You don't need a day. You need maybe 2 hours tops, 3 if you want to be **** retentive. The paint dries incredibly fast.

Oh... the directions said 2 hours to dry until you can put the wheels back on... 24 hours to cure before you drive it.

While we're on this subject.

I painted my front calipers red, but I have the LS Sedan. What about the rear drums? paint them black, or red to match the fronts?

Black. Painted rear drums don't look all that good to me. Just....off I guess.

PLEASE follow the directions, for your cars sake. You won't be happy if half of the paint flies off after driving it.

Well I'm going with red for now. I have the kit and I'm ready to go. I just can't decide if I want to do it and let it dry overnight sometime... or if I really want to follow the directions all the way and wait 24 hours after painting them to drive it.

PS. I got the DC Sports strut tower brace installed over the weekend. Had a little trouble at first. I jacked it up on the passenger side and couldn't get it on. I had to actually take off all three nuts on that side and push down on the wheel. After I did that, it went on with no problem at all. I love the feel now in curves. I think some of it might be in my head... but it definitely feels like a noticable difference.

I'll be painting mine yellow. I'll take some pics even though you've decided to go with red for now. Yellow = ricer??? If so, then painted calipers = ricer...period. Everytime someone asks for opinions on vehicle personalization, the first thing most people say is - RICE. Fine, rice it is then. I like rice - goes really good with chicken

Yellow + break dust = not so yellow.
Yellow will show dirt even more than red, keep that in mind.
I want to paint mine gold like Brembos, but can't find the right paint so I will most likely go with red.

Considered this... one reason why I decided to go red.
