Back to stock....kinda

Well, I traded of my coilovers to Haza (interviewatruins) and threw on some polished SS/TC wheels and Pedders springs in the rear. Running cheap Primewell 245/40's in the rear with Mickey Thompson ET Street's up front, which are also 245/40. New carbon fiber trunk hopefully by tomorrow!

Nice to see somebody do something different with SS/TC wheels. I'm just going to be like everybody else and get mine powdercoated black.

I was very skeptical about the polished wheels, I've never liked the look of polished or chrome but I love these wheels. I also ordered black Gen 4 headlights so the little bit of chrome in them should offset the flash of the wheels. I think my car is about done appearance wise though. Took me long enough, this is my 4th set of wheels in about a year and the third suspension setup

not digging the polished wheels, cant really stand that chrome/polished look. and imo wingless on stockish height doesnt look good, but hey as long as you like it. besides that car looks clean.

I know where you're coming from, I used to be on Ksport coils so wingless looked good back about a month ago lol

They were great, but they were stuck at the lowest height on one side so I couldn't raise them up to run drag radials without rubbing. They could've been fixed easy but being low wasn't really my thing anymore so me and Haza traded suspension, very excited to see the wheel setup he's going to run

There's days I want to be slammed again, but they're outweighed by being able to drive any where without scraping or rubbing tires,
For example, here's one of the driveways I couldn't get into anymore lol

See, I usually don't care for polished / chrome wheels on Cobalts. These don't look bad though, just not my style. I like black on black. The black Gen 4s will look great on your car though, just got mine installed and I love them.

Yeah, I can't wait to get the CF trunk on and Gen 4's in. I've been tossing around the idea of using that one Shadow Chrome Duplicolor product that gives a black chrome look. That way the wheels would still pop, but not stick out so much

tasteful chrome on a black or white car is gorgeous, I love the stock LSJ polished rims on a black car as well
