best way to paint?

What is the best way to paint the palstic crap in your engine bay like your fuse box n stuff?
and whats the best way to paint or make your actual engine look good? i noticed some people chromes them and soem painted pink :P just wondering how to make mine look better than the stock way it looks now :P

you gotta degrease plastic first then sand down for good paint adhesion. Then apply a light colored primer and then color of choice. Do light coats, 5 minutes apart. Then clearcoat. Same with valve cover but skip the sanding. You can also change the color of the black plastic wireloom to whatever color you want

i already did the wire loom red..
and now i wanna makethe fuse box look good..
does the type of paint relly matter? or any plastic type of paint?

I just used high heat duplicolor paint for my valve and fuel rail covers...Only thing I did was sand the valve cover with a fine grit sand paper and make sure the surface was clean.

any kinda paint. It's under the hood so it's not gonna get exposed to any flying debri
