Best way to paint SS symbols??

As straight forward as it gets, I want to paint my SS symbols black and I'm not sure of the easiest way to go about it. Let me know what you guys have done/think. Thanks!

Not certain about paint but you could always get vinyl overlays and keep the chrome accent. I got a set from HouseOfGrafx. Good buy

Easiest way? There's really only one way to paint. Sand---primer---paint---clear. Make sure that if you do paint instead of viny, use an adhesion promoter. It's good to use any time you're painting plastic, especially if it will be exposed to the elements. Not absolutely necessary but it will save you from having to repaint them as often as if you hadn't.

dont paint em, they will not turn out as planed unless you have em professionaly painted.....

just do as they said above and buy the inlays from houseofgrafx, this is your best option and cheapest!

The paint does not adhere to the ss symbols well. I did this, what I thought was a very good job at the time, and it starting chipping and flaking.

When I painted my bowtie i seperated it from the chrome outlined mounting piece (it's attached with double sided tape). Then stripped the gold off using some medium reducer and painted it black. Came out pretty good, it will never chip because the paint is not exposed and looks more OEM than just painting the outside. I havn't seen anyone else do it like that either
