Blacking out headlights?
Anyone know how to EXACTLY do it, or have a step-by-step guide?
I really want to black out my headlights, but don't want to just rush into it, and mess something up..

1. Take all three screws out of the rear of the light, and take out the bulbs and wires
2. Put headlights in oven at 215* for roughly 7-10 min
3. pry apart lenses with a flat tool (I used a 1.5" wide putty knife, needs to be pretty stiff though)
4. reheat as necessary until lights are apart
5. Mask off parts of the light you don't want to paint (use blue painters tape)
6. Take either sandpaper or whatever you want to use and rough and scratch up the entire chrome bezel (NOT the reflector bowl) make sure you hit everything
7. Spray primer, get a few coats on there, and make sure you hit everything, the paint will only stick to the primer, it adheres very poorly to the chrome, let it dry between coats
8. apply color, make sure you let the paint dry between coats, does not need to fully cure. Don't go too heavy on the paint or it will run.
9. Once your happy with the paint, put the bezel back on with the screws, then put some new sealer on the lens to make sure it seals well. Use either the black silicone sealant, or you should use this

Easy to work with, and doesn't produce gasses when it sets
10. Press the lens onto the headlight firmly. Place into over at 215 again, let the adhesive all warm up, then press the lens on very firmly until all the clips are in position again, and use something like a ratchet strap to hold lens on till it completely cools, preferably overnight.
