CF Trunk Install - Adjusting it to sit flush?

So i just installed my ViS Carbon Fiber Trunk. Wondering how i would go about adjusting it so it sits flush with the car? I turned the knobs on the hinges and it still sits high. Once side is alot worse then the other. Should i remove my struts?

I had to "massage" the trunk lip a little and move my trunk latch mechanism up into the trunk lid a little. I found the bottom lip to be the biggest thing in the way (had to move to back) and the part where the trunk lip turns down. I wonder if the people who make the trunks have actually tried to fit them to a car lol. Had to silicone around the rear lights after finding a good amount of water made it past them in the car wash.

Mine fit ok at the top however it didnt fit fine until i got the bottom to sit properly. I dont have a vis trunk so probably different. I used a piece of paper to determine where it was tight. Took latch off and leaned on it and where paper was tight while trying to remove it is where i 'adjusted' it. The top by the backglass had tons of room but the back botton screwed up all adjustments. Nothing worked until i fixed that.
gl

edit: i also noticed when i pushed the trunk down that the bottom was pushing 'out'. check that. If its doing it that trunk lip is in the way.

the brackets on the side have two bolts each, loosen them and you can settle the trunk a little. Let me see if i have a picture...

I don't have a picture, but the two bolts i'm talking about attack the hinge to the body of the car.

ok, well there's a bump stop on each side, then there are the actual brackets, It helped mine, but not 100%

There may be no way to lower it any more without cutting.

didnt cut mine...fits ok now. Used hammer and block of wood with a little effort. First got to figure out where its hitting or deal with a trunk that sits up a qtr inch at the back lol.
