clear hood/bumper protection
Hey guys so im debating having my front bumper repainted now that it's at the body shop. But I want to protect the paint from rock chips as much as possible. Have any of you or heard of anyone using a clear bra on the hood and bumper

Yeah I do to much highway driving and the front bumper looks like crap to be honest. I just don't know what kit would be better kinda going for the first link, and it's a done deal now since I just went to the shop and told them I want the front bumper painted aswell

Ive been thinking of doing this once I fix the chips in my bumper and when I get a carbon hood (stock hood damaged from deer). Has anyone here used one for their cobalt?

Get the 3m one, don't cheap out on it and it will last a decent amount of time prior to yellowing, the cheap ones yellow fast. Wifes car has a clear bra on it and it's lived through 7 years of colorado sun and it's still clear not yellow.

Lots of people use 3M / Xpel and Suntek protection in Canada. The roads are covered in sands/rocks in the winter so it makes a huge difference.
I would suggest going with any of those brands, there are also self healing options from Xpel and it is supposed to be really good.
As a detailing enthusiast, They all fade and get worn after 3 years. 3M will chip over time and it will protect the paint but it is still something that will need to be replaced because it will yellow or chip.
I use light polishes on 3M and I find that it does help but after awhile it looks discolored or worn

Don't apply the wrap until about a month after it's painted.
It can take 30 day or more depending on weather for paint to completely gas off and cure.
If you don't wait you could take your paint off when you go to remove it.

I found this stuff that has good reviews online. Seems to be quality. And for relatively cheap. I've always loved 3M products. Sorry about the crappy link. Idk why it's not linking it to the product on Amazon.
