Cobalt Rollcage
I will have one eventually, just no money now or in the forseeable future. If you have a shop that can fab one, if you search around GM put out a build book on how to build a Cobalt rollcage.
You can do quite a bit of research on it, I'd fab it if at all possible, then you can have a lot more say into how it's positioned. Some cars end up having a cage that's barely visible from outside the car.
They look all out race suited. If it was just a half I'd be interested. And on the street rollcages are dangerous. You get into an accident with one of those without a helmet it can be like a baseball bat to the head.
But it looks interesting none the less.

I think alleycat has a good point. Custom fabricating a cage can allow you to position the bars where they are best for your situation, which can reduce the safety concerns on the street. Like Snake pointed out, they can be dangerous on the street if you do not install them properly. You should have the tubes wrapped where any part of your body could touch it. There is stuff out there that is made for wrapping roll cages for padding.
yea its a high density foam padding.thats whats used to wrap the rollcage bar where any part of your body might come in contact with the rollcage. most likely ill do some research and my bro can weld it up for me.

You get the right fab guy and you'll get exactly what you need. Usually they have design differences between drag cars and track cars, because the rigidity needed is different. A drag car isn't extremely likely to roll (though they sometimes do), whereas a track car is VERY likely to roll, be t-boned, hit walls and cars at odd angles, etc.
Some peopel once they get a cage get paranoid about an accident and hitting the bars so they opt to wear DOT harnesses even when street driving because they keep you more stationary.
You can also add extra padding if need be. There's race padding and then if you want a little extra impact protection you can add some more for a daily driver.
