heat gun or a hair dryer, will peel it right off, to get the glue off i use sem solve, its a spray you can buy that takes the goo right off also.

Same way you'd take off any stuck on emblem... heat gun... or fishing line... you can get off any left over adhesive with some goo-gone... wash and wax when you're done.

I had the detail shop at the dealer take it off before I even took delivery of the car! It was a big ass thick plastic emblem that couldn't even sit flush on the trunk because of the curve of it and looked very cheese.

I just pulled mine off.......I used index cards to put on the back side and pulled off with my hands. The dealer wouldn't take them off for me (liability issue). Then I used goo-gone. Make sure you get it all off before you wash+wax.

Hi folks -

Some dealerships tell their employees that is they see a car with their emblem on it broken down, they should stop and assist.

I do not allow dealer stickers on my cars anyway.

best regards -

My friend pulled mine off (dealer emblem) and it left glue. I used glugone but it took a long time to come off. The glue was really strong. Now there is a mark left over from the emblem (dark outline) and tiny fine scratches from removing the glue from the paint. I applied wax on it but it is still there.

Maybe I didn't wax it properly. What steps should I take to remedy this?

i made the dealer take it off before I drove it off the lot. They said why and I said I want it to look clean. They were like it still looks good and I said no decal or no sale

YOu could also tell them that it's a rolling advertisement. If it stays on, they knock off $xx dollars. My number is usually $3000 to keep it on...somehow they are happy to take it off

I bought a can of Sticker and Adhesive Removal at the auto store. It says it's "Industrial Strength" and used it to take all the junk off of my car. I do not own a Cobalt; but intend it as my next purchase (an odd hello by the way) but since I drive a Oldsmobile Intrigue, I wanted something to distinguish it from the "grandma crowd."

Anyways, both my mother and father have gotten new cars lately and I have taken off their dealer stickers for them with this. You spray it on, let it soak into the adhesive/sticker (it works great on both types) and begin to peel it off. Great if you don't have access to an extension cord. And doesn't do a thing to the paint. But since I am my parents' personal detailer it was waxed shortly after.

OMG.. how do you remove a dealer sticker that is just that.. a sticker .. it's white and it seems almost next to impossible to remove. Goo gone won't help if the damn thing has been on it for several months..

ok from a professional right now listen up on how to remove dealer badges pinstriping or any other badges you do not like.
1st Step get your heat gun
2Nd Get the adhesive hot and not as sticky
3rd if it is a vinyl on the car use either your fingernail or plastic razor to scrpae letters
or if it is a badges use some type of fishing line and plastic razor to completely remove.
4th buy any automotive sticker or adhesive remover and place it upon a rag and rub softly until the stickiness is gone.
One tip if you have a white car is to use paint thinner. It will remove ANY marks from white including adhesive.

Ok so my credibility is that i work as a detailer at a dealership and this is what we do with swaps or customer cars that do not like dealer badging. I for one am happy that we do not put badges on the cars and just use plate frames.

You can actually buy a tool that remove this crap at the auto store? Score! My sedan has this stupid pin stripping and dealer stickers all over. I want them off. Didn't give a **** when I bought it cause it was winter and it was cold... now that I will be driving it more often I want the crap off!
