You can also use bodyshop grease & wax remover to get rid of the adhesive residue. That's what I used on my other car.

I don't know Debadging doesn't look Custom to me. Unless you're gonna drop some money into getting some custom badges made to replace the factory ones. It just looks like you ripped the badges off to be "Cool" *Grabs an Apple* And CARlito says that trying to do stuff to look cool is Uncool. *Bites apple and spits the piece out*

Hmm I wonder if I could get some Autobot insignias. That would look HOT

I think it makes it look clean. I don't like badges all over the place. The Cobalt isn't overdone, but that bow tie on the back is FUGLY!

Got the rear bowtie and cobalt badges off. Put a small nick in the paint from the opposite edge of where I was prying the bowtie but not noticable, still prob have it fixed anyway. The goo gone worked pretty well but had to use a few times to get it all off and there's still some smudgy look on there.
Now to get the front bowtie off, but going to wait til I get home, have the long drive from my sis' in orlando back to key west tomorrow, ug. that drive is getting old, but at least now I have a new car to do it in!

Use a little rubbing alcohol (70% works good) and that will clean up the rest of that "smudgy look". Sometimes the glue will smear around and be a pain to get completely off depending on the type of adhesive. The alcohol will do the trick. Make sure you wax it afterwards, the goo gone and the alcohol will remove any present.

I took everything off. I live in southern california let the car sit all day then went out and pulled them all off by hand. i also don't have a ss.. so i had to take the side bumper strips off also. I think it makes the car look alot better.

i have a coupe. it is yellow and it looks just like the side of a ss without the larger wheels (which will be fixed soon) and without the ss badge. I think it looks alot better without the bumper strip sitting in the middle of the car.

The sun removed the rear view mirror off my 2001 Cavy Z24 the other week. I took it to the dealer who basically used every rule in the book to have me go elswhere to get it fixed!!!! First they tried the warranty is up bullshit and then they tried to say the glue they have isn't as good as the glue they use at Standard Auto Glass. I said screw the service dept. and talked to the salesman who sold my the car and he said,"Fine, take it to Standard Auto and bring back the receipt". So, I get to the Standard Auto place and the guy has it fixed in 5 mins flat. he said,"Your only the fourth person ever to be outsourced from those bastards at BOB JOHNSTON's so I'm doing this for free because I don't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing I charged you anything!!!!!!" I then called GM directly and lodged a complaint against the dealer which they are investigating now.

Everything? Including the front bowtie? I saw two screws behind it through the grille, also thought I saw posted somewhere it had screws.
I'd really like to get that thing off tho.
