pretty sure all gen 4's will be prone to stress cracks. I believe there is only 1 manufacturer actually assembling and building the lights and unless they design a new lens, these will do the same as the other lenses and crack. But thats not a big deal because I would just purchase the lights, and take your OEM lenses and put them onto these. They will fit, since they all have to fit in the stock headlight hole. Not hard to do and a much better end product. But HID's run cooler and shouldnt be the cause of the cracks, but the cheap crappy plastic lens instead. All aftermarket cobalt lights have this problem
What say you to this reply From Modern?:
We've worked closely with DEPO on several vehicles and we've already addressed these issues with them. They told us they did receive some complaints of cracks 4-5 months ago and had their quality assurance department evaluate and solve the problem. Using a new lens plastic for the housing they've had no issues recently. All old stock has been removed from their warehouse so all new lamps are of the revised version. We've just started carrying this lamp recently so we never had old stock to begin with.
