ebay projectors and HIDs ?

i was gonna order a set of the helo projectors off ebay and a set of HID lights from xtralights.com but several people told me that the hid's will melt or burn the projectors i doubt that will happen but i figured it wouldnt hurt to ask before i ordered them !!!!

J

the reason they said it would damage the projectors was because the sets sold on ebay are cheap

they will be fine. hid's run the same heat as halogens if not cooler. order them. you will be fine. the only thing you have to do is cut a small bit on the inside of the projector so the hids fit, but you can check the how to section for that, very easy mod.

The HID's(35W) in fact run at a cooler temperature then the stock halogen bulbs(55W), they will not melt/burn anything w/ a housing made to withstand the temperature of a halogen bulb. The only thing you willl have to do is make small tab so the HID bulbs return lead can fit through the hole.
