Ok, why is it everytime I post a question asking for help, everyone disses my car? I mean come on, you already bashed it when I took pictures, now you are bashing it when I even ask questions. People allways bash my car because it has chrome rims, Rs emblems, etc. Then people bash me bacuse my parents bought it for me. WTF?? Just because your parents didn't buy you your first car doesn't mean you bash other people. My parents were able to not only buy me my first car, they also helped my step-brother purchase a '06 GS Eclipse.

I'm getting tired of people either bashing my car or cititzing me because I don't pay for it.

Just to let all of you ******** know, I'm helping them pay for it also, so **** off.

Hey... I agree with you to an extent. It is your car, so you can do what you want to it. Personally, I don't like the RS badges. But like I said, it's your car to do what you want with.

But you have to understand something... if you post on here you are going to get feedback, both positive and negative. You have to be willing to catch a little flack here and there. If you aren't willing to deal with that, then you shouldn't post here. People here are hardcore Cobalt lovers (or just cars in general). That means they will have strong opinions on what looks good and what is widely "acceptable" in the Cobalt community. The best way to handle it is just to kindly disagree, not curse and yell. Acting like a kid will only get you treated like one.

I never insulted your car. As a matter of fact I said it looked nice. I have a feeling you have a secret hatred for your car. As far as you parents buying you your car if they can afford it and want to give you a car I see nothing wrong with that. My first car was my grandpas old f150.

I'm not saying you insulted my car. I think you gave an opinion that was positive, and I thank you for that. Its just some people **** me off by telling me something sucks, but they offer no suggestions to get it better.

i.e. "get rid of the rs badges while you are at it." umm, how does this help my cause? --or-- "those rims are dubs..." since when are 17"s dubs??

look, im open to opinions, as long as they offer positive suggestions, and not just bashing the car.

using some rubbing alcohol and elbow grease will get rid of the residue on your car, that is how i removed the left over residue after i removed my door bumpers!

Ok guys thanks. I got the pinstripes off.

I would post pics, but people will think its rice, so I'll save my time and won't post any pictures.

BTW: I said rice because I put a different stripe on that matches my overall theme. People will surely say its rice, so save your breath.

IMO: I'm just doing what follows my car's theme.

be careful with the goo gone!! It WILL dull a clear if left on too long. There is a tool by body shops that fits in the chuck of a cordless drill. Its basically a large conical shaped eraser. Smells aweful but is the best way to remove the pinstriping. Im sure you can find it at an auto body supply house. Hope this helps.

Sorry I just saw you have already completed this.

Actually the ones I've seen are pink rubber like a traditional pencil eraser.

My dealer tried to charge me $180 for pinstriping and said the guy would be out that morning to do it. I told them to send the car back if they were gonna do that especially since I didn't ask for it. Just another way for the dealer to screw you out of a few more dollars.

Thumbs up

I removed mine with water, a heat gun and WD-40.
wet the area with water and aply heat, then with your fingernail ( not a razorblade) pick off the vinil. then use WD-40 to remove the adhesive.
