few questions about painting

When I painted my badges, they came out fine but my side door panel is different. Everything came out fine but the paint smudges when you apply little force to it. I put 3 layers of clear coat on it. Did I not let it dry enough? I had it dry overnight.

Next, what would I use to make the paint shinier? I'm currently using krylon gloss spraypaint. I read about wetsanding but I'm not sure what that does.

THe SS badges on the car is that what you mean. They are plastic and to get paint to stick you need to put on a bonding agent to help the paint stick. Its like a primer for plastic's.

TO make it look clear and shiney it could use alittle buffing to smooth the surface but again its plastic and not a smooth surface like the car to buff on. It can be done but you have to be very careful not to heat the plastic or you ruin your paint too.
