G2 Caliper Paint on VC?
ok this is just something I have thought up and I'm curious as to if it would work. I plan on buying the G2 caliper paint for my brembos/rear calipers and after thinking about it, wouldn't it work extremely well on the valve cover? Its made for high heat and it smooths itself very well from everything I've seen. seeing as its brush on I wouldnt even need to remove the VC as long as I am careful, which is another plus imo. Only thing I'm not certain on is whether or not I'll have enough paint in the kit.
so what do you guys think? plausible idea or am I just overthinking stuff too much? I think it should work flawlessly as long as prepped well..

I would take it off to make sure I get it cleaned well. I would hate to put the money in it and get bubbles and crap. It's really easy to take off a VC and you can probably reuse the gasket since its a pretty new car. I think that stuff would look nice but it's expensive.

i used basic rustoleum on my LT's calipers and it held great for 2 years. I just dont want to tape every freaking thing off again like I had to.. took forever so it would be worth it to go the brush on route seeing as it smooths itself out it seems
i didnt buy the g2 kit yet, but from what I've seen online there looks to be quite a bit of paint in the kit. like enough to do all the calipers and the VC.. hence the reason I'm asking to see if this idea may be legitimate.. I guess I'll have to be the guinea pig

do you think there would be enough in the container to do the VC as well?? I haven't been able to actually go look at how big the containers actually are yet. They seem big enough to do calipers/VC just from images I've seen but idk how much you go through with just calipers
I did the VC on my LT the old fashioned way, but not having to remove it all all would be pretty sweet. Especially if the results are as good as I think they will be
edit: also did you just have to do one coat??

>> Please Note: The G2™ High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System Set contains approximately 3 1/2 liquid oz. of paint and approximately 1/2 liquid oz. of reactor, yielding 4 liquid oz. total when mixed, which will cover four (4) standard brake calipers or two (2) brake drums. However if you have over-sized calipers on the front of your vehicle and/or if you are planning on painting your brackets, rotor caps etc. you'll probably need two kits.
so no your not gonna have enough
