Did they change the rear bumper on the g5 in diff years because my 08 g5 gt 2.4 rear bumper looks nothing like the one he swapped out and put on his Balt. I'm just wondering. Because I thought all the 2.4 had the exact same one. And I have pics in my gallery of my dual exhaust set up it was easy the biggest pain in the ass part was trying to make the cuts match in the bumper. I then took a Crome trim and put around the edges to hide the rough edges where I cut.

They didn't change. Check your eyes or something.

lol I dont get why anyone would want to do this, I absolutly LOVE the SS S/C/T/C Rear bumpers. But everyone likes different things lol.

Anyways thers an SS T/C with a G5 G/T rear bumper running around my area, and yeah it does look kinda cool, he also has the highrise.

I hated my SS N/A bumper to lol, people couldn't figure out if it was an LT or an SS lololol it was a bastard.

I am in the process of doing this exact thing on my 2.4L If only I could find someone interested in a 1 to 1 swap for my trunk and bumper.

The rear lip matches the side skirts now. It just looks smoother/cleaner in my opinion.

That part sucks. It took me over a year to sell the original parts.

Here is a better picture.

I may end up giving up trying to find someone for a trade and buy them outright from a junkyard. I'm hoping the area we're moving to this month has better selection.

I'd still trade my G5 lip for an SS lip.

I don't see how that's relevant to anything. This thread was about me finding out if a G5 bumper would work on a Cobalt.

I personally really liked the g5 bumper with the SS lip on my old G5. Just something to look into if you think about changing it up a little, I know you have a lot of money in that gt rear lip right now though.

Ill see if I can find a picture.
