gen 1 leds problem, please help
gen 1 leds problem, please help
So... here's my story (which i think many people here have experienced)
I bought the gen 1 projectors from a previous coblat owner and i put them on...no issues, everything works fine, low beam, high beam, 3 leds and the signals, so i'm
2 weeks later (yesterday), I installed my HID hit (H1 bulb) ...fits fine... turn on the car, and
... some of my leds are not working (i have only 1 lite on each side).
Now i read something about the resistors and how it should be 680 ohms or something, but before i go an fidle around with that, i want to make sure i'm doing the right thing to fix'em.
ideas? thoughts? and help?
Thanks in advance

check your wiring... maybe try changing around your LED's... and yes, its a 680ohm resistor for the LEDs.. none of mine were working on one side so I swapped out resistors and it worked again.
so do i need 1 resitor for each led or just one resistor for all 3 (per side)?
sorry if this is a stupid question... but i noticed that the 3 leds are wired in sequence so i'm guessing one resitor for all 3 is enough! is that right?
the HIDs are working and they look SWEEEEEEEEEET
BTW, I still need to aim the projectors, can that be done while the projectors are ON the car? if so, how can i reach the screws?

You definately can't aim the projectors on the car. They have to be taken off, adjusted, put on, taken off, adjusted... etc. Until you get it right. They are the best projectors for cutoff and light output though! I'm in the middle of modifying mine with CCFL halos!
Thanks guys, i bought new super white leds yesterday to replace the ones that came with the projector. I also bought some 680 ohm resistors to connect them to.
As for the aiming... that going to be a hassle, i'm not sure if you guys experice the same thing i am, but taking the headlights out and back in is a HUGE HASSEL, doable but annoying. Anyways, i guess i gotta do what i gotta do.
