Gen 4 "Performance Lamp" ?

I'm looking to buy a pair of 4 gens with black housing... I'm checking out ebay and I see some for around 160-170~ + shipping. But I also see these others that look the same called "Performance Lamp"

Depo M35-1102P-AS2 Right Side PERFORMANCE LAMP | eBay

What is the the difference between the normal one and the performance lamp?

Also, on a side note if anyone has any pics of a red sport tint SS with the black housing headlights, would they care to share?

Yeah, that's why I'm so confused. I was hoping to save a few bucks on ebay, but yeah maybe I should just go MPx. Anyone familiar with what HID kit works best with this? I'm probably looking at 6k output.

It just seemed sketch and I didn't know if you noticed it or not so I brought it too your attention, they would be cheaper shipped on MPx anyways.

$189.99
+ $25.00 for S&H

Awesome! Maybe I should pick a couple kits for my heads and fogs. Problem is I have no idea what I'm doing when buying one haha. What is a slim ballast? And is a relay harness necessary?

Do it! Great quality HID kits. Slim ballast is just a smaller ballast, easier to hide and mount. Relay Harnesses aren't necessary but highly recommended.

Slim ballasts or not in your opinion? Also, wattage? :S

I'm also stuck between 6k and 8k... I kinda want blueish.. but I know that 6k will be better for seeing... Is 6k blue at all?

It all depends on what you want. Are you going to buy High beams and Low beams? Are you also going to get fogs?

I don't think I'll get the high beams. I live in the city and won't use them much.

But I think I'll get the fogs. Wonder if 6k in the headlights and 8k in the fogs would look good.

I personally went with this set up, I live out in the country so high beams are a must! I went will all the options I could (except for the 55W on the low beams)
5,000K 35W (low beams) Slim Ballast, Relay Harness, Lifetime Warranty,
5,000K 55W (high beams) Slim Ballast, Relay Harness, Lifetime Warranty,
5,000K 55W (fogs) Slim Ballast, Relay Harness, Lifetime Warranty,

I wanted maximum light output without going into the yellow.

Hm right on. Does the increased wattage just increase the brightness?

Not a problem, the best person to ask would Mkulrey himself, he's an HID guru, everything you've asked me I've asked him at one point lol.

Looking for opinions: 6k or 8k.

Anyone?

Also, is there any cons to running 55w in either lows or fogs?

As far as HIDs, I went 6k heads and fogs from BuyHIDS.com, with one pair of slim ballasts, and one pair of regular ballasts, and relays for both. Left the highs alone.

6k has some blue, and is still plenty bright. Also, stick with 35W; 55W gets you nothing, and can tax your electrical system.
