Lol im leaning twords three. I planned on spraying my interior pieces today buy this damn silver doesnt cover well! So when they add the pearls it may alter the color a slight bit so if i painted the trim today it might not match perfect when i get the new color. So i gotta wait on it But next week rims, calipers, trim pieces will be done FOR SURE. Cars gonna be left at the shop all week and interior panels will come out, weather stripping removed, jams will be all scuffed. Gonna get ***** to the wall ready for paint. Ill have all the body work and fabricating done friday-tuesday

a little darker is better then a little lighter.....shows the flake oh so much more and when its all buffed to a shine a darker color looks 100x's better then lighter colors.

Thanks guys, paint store is gonna swap out 1 quart out of my silver base for a quart of Chrysler silver base that is made up of a few different size metallics and that covers really really well. So ill take that, and mine, and mix them together and do another spray out. Well see how many coats it needs then
But yea definitly 3 or 4 for me out of that spray out.
Just gone done today workin on it, worked out some low spots on that spoiler, found a weak spot that i dug out and filled with dynaglass, actually heres a pic:
big hole i dug into that. Everywhere around it is filled with resin and hardner and is real solid, that was just a soft spot. Anwyays fixed that and any other little things, final primed it with 3 nice wet coats and layed it down as smooth as i could get it so final sanding would be easier. Then Hit the driver side of the car with a DA for a bit. Didnt get it finished as I was running out of time. This kid sprayed his engine bay of his CRX with some black single stage and holy christ it looks beautiful. I think I wanna use this same stuff to spray mine. Heres some pics of his:
I dont know how im gonna do my engine bay though. I think im just gonna get a touch up gun, tape off and cover everythign I can, and just spray single stage. Im afraid base clear would be too difficult to get the clear to look decent in all those nooks and cranny's. Probobly be alot of runs and dry spots everywhere. That single stage seems to be the easiest.

Quick question, how would you go about spraying around everything in the engine bay? Would you basically just get as much as you could, or would you take about everything out, and disconnect as much as you could?

Little bit of both really. Take intakes and charge pipes off, headlights and brackets out, cover the valve cover and get some tape and run it on all the hoses I can. Itll be a pain, but as long as the areas you see are covered itll be fine. If you jack the car up and look underneath youll see a bunch of yellow, but from the top up over the engine ill get it so you dont. Then if the engine ever gets pulled in the future ill hit the whole bay again
