sand that **** down lol...... for some reason i got some solvent pop is 2 of mine...i was pist. out of 4 tail lights the third brake light and the side markers only 2 lights got it wtf......i justed some 400 on a d/a to knock most of it off, 600 on a d/a to get the a little more and take care of the 400 scratches and then 800 wet for final sanding.

thanks bud, and i taped up the GM performance division no worries. I cut the tape with a razor blade so itll be perfect. look at the 3rd pic, its got a piece of yellowish tape on it. Ill show pics when i reinstall everything tommorow and take the tape off. I was thinking about spraying over it though and then taking sandpaper on a block and sanding the black off the face of it so itll be silver with GM performance division in black. Thought that would be a cool subtle thing. I did spray over the "GND" sticker for engine ground on the right strut tower, i didnt realize it till i was clearing lol

 

it looks so pretty and black under the hood. LOL I'll be glad when your project gets done sooner.

Thanks everybody, im exited! The booth seems to be filled up for next week, so ill spray it probobly on the 27th. But will be spraying the door and trunk jambs next week along with any other **** that needs to be done. But ill have plenty of little things and updates untill then, like today for instance:

This morning, got my car back into the shop, untaped everything from the motor that was taped up, re hooked up everything i took off and disconnected out of the engine bay:



By the way, the speckles in the black is just dust from people sanding there cars in the shop:



Took the wheels off, DA with 180 grit, then hand sanded all the areas i couldnt get too:


Did a spray-out card with my new PA1 basecoat mixed with my other basecoat, 3 coats of candy (ignore all the dirt in the sprayout card, i dropped it while i was shooting the silver lol)




Sprayed Calipers:










Primed the wheels for the last time, theyll be painted tommorow:



Sprayed fusebox cover in engine bay with leftover material I had mixed:

wow, that orange is sexy. Really gives you an idea of what it looks like now that it's on the calipers. Much better than a paint sample. God I can't wait to see this car done.
