pretty sure just plain and boring. they do have a blue tinge to the top because of the LEDs. Not the same at all though. I've also heard rumors of the projector covers not being able to take the higher heat of the HIDs - might wanna look into that if you're planning on putting HIDs in projector cases.

He's right...but I have the projectors and they come with the halogen bulbs....which i still have in mine and don't mind them. Still have a great cutoff line. I love mine maybe if I save up $250 i'll get a 6,000k kit, but no plans for it as of now

sorry, wasn't interested in HIDs... flame on.

i was just going off what the box said - don't use HIDs in them.

i tend not to push things like heat.

the box says dont use HIDs because they arent tested for HIDs.
and HID kits are illegal. the manufacturer is just covering his ass.

it has nothing whatsoever to do with heat.
Halogen bulbs draw 55w or MORE. ive seen people use 100w
HIDs draw 35w.

there has been 2 people that ive seen that melted projector lenses.

1 guys melted because he got condensation on it, and it created a watermark that focused heat and caused them to melt.

the other guy was using aftermarket bulbs.

BOTH, were using halogens.

To op, they come with some mediocre halogen bulbs.
i would suggest spending a few bucks on some decent 55 watt bulbs.
