Heat Exchanger Paint

Decided to advertise on my heat exchanger. Figure since it's there, make it obvious.

I would take caution in painting your heat exchangers. By painting them your losing heat transfer and killing its efficiency.

If you get an exchanger off a cobra it already comes painted black. If it was really hurting the efficency wouldn't they come stripped to the bare metal? Just a question? And I wouldn't clear coat it. I don't like the sound of that. you could try stripping it down I know it will be tough but should look pretty shiny.
