help with swapping trunk?

help with swapping trunk?

my cf trunk came in and i neew to move the striker to the new trunk.... i cant get it out of the old one..... i unscrewed the bottem, and then pushed the clips down to slide it out, but the keyhole wont allow the striker to move out.... how do i do this?

You will probably have to remove the lock cylinder first. There should be a clip holding the rod from the cylinder to the latch, unclip it and remove the rod from the latch. There is a horse shoe shaped clip with a tab on one side holding the lock cylinder in. Pry the tab to release the clip. push the cylinder out and the latch should come out.

Hey mkulery13, I like your attitude! That kind of repair keeps food on my table, I'm a bodyman. Unfortunatly, I feel like doing that about ten time a day.
