HHR Tail Light Swap

Any think this can be done. I was at the movies the other day and i walked by the rear of an HHR and i noticed they use the exact same reverse taillight and the other one is the same size. The other one is just like our outside ones but the size of the inner ones.

I think Im going to try and get some so I can finally get all four lights to light up all the time.

I also want the two at once to work when im turning.

Any Comments??

If the lights themselves are the same then swapping them wont do anything. It would be the wiring that makes a difference

WHat do you mean? Obviously i have to wire them, but are you saying the wiring will be completely different. Im sure it will be relatively the same. I know i wouldnt be using the same wires as before cos im going to forget about the reverse lights. I want to tie them in so they do everything the outside ones do

I am already owrking on this with a spare set of cobalt lights. they will look like this --> O o o O across the back when light for driving, and the outters will be a full circle when brakes are applied and/or turnsignal. Should be done by end of month. all in full LED

I'm intersted in this, too. Those center lights not having any real function is perhaps my least favorite thing on the car.

I am also intrested in hhr tails. I want to know if I can use the top hhr light in place of the inner cobalt light. Someone has had to do this or at least tried it.

They're reflectors, required by law. Every car has them.

Why not get these? Tails from IPCW, in FIVE different styles, two similar to stock (one red, one smoked)
From Cobalt-Addiction.com, the lights have quick connect clips, so a five year old could hook these up.
