HID problem

I have had my black halo projectors for a while now but I finally installed my HID kit and everything lights up and works fine but when I stuck the bulb in the hole and put everything together it seems there is very very little light coming out and it doesnt light up the road at all. Please help and thanks. I dont want this kit to go to waste.

Are you sure you have the bulb in there right? And connected right?

I know when I had my halo's, and put in a HID kit. Same thing, barely saw any light at all.

I ended up taking them out, and putting the halogens back in.

However, my halo's i sold to a friend. and put in a HID kit. worked beautiful.

Could of been a sub par kit.

its those headlights but i got them off ebay before the HID kit was included in the package. i bought a separate kit. everything sits in there fine and the bulbs light up. it just doesnt light the road up at all. i had to use my fog lights to see last night

Is the light itself lighting up very bright? (sometimes it can be dim if the bulb is about to go out or is messed up, if you take it out the headlight and turn it on you should just about blind yourself with HIDs lol)
Did you touch the glass part of the bulb at all in installation? (if you did refer to 1)
Did you check to make sure when you put in the new HID bulb that you didnt move the alignment way high or low, left or right?
When you change bulbs especially with HIDs you may need to realign the beams. Pull up next to a wall real close and see if you can see where the cut off is, slowly back up if you see a cut off and if it is misaligned you will see where the patterns go

Plug and Play or Relay Kit?

It sounds like there just pointed at the ground.
My projectors were pointed right down at the ground when I first got them...both sets (2nd and 3rd generation)

Why don't you just post a pic of what it looks like?

you might not have the bulb sitting flush witht the base. check that and also the bulb might be a bad one.

I'm not 100% on how HID bulbs work with this although I believe its the same concept in this way to regular halogen bulbs, but if you touch the glass with your fingers the oils get onto it and it ruins the bulb. It will at first be VERY VERY dim, then go out eventually. Could be the culprit.

ill keep the lights running constantly and see if thats it. because it seems they are very very dim. they are almost aligned properly its just that barely any light comes out of the projector. from both bulbs
