sorry to clear things up a little... the hid on the right side where everything is connected will only turn on for a split second... the other one remains on ..could this be because i spliced the wrong wires.. and if so what wires from the hid do i attach to the harness wires... thanks again for any help

i have the vision kit.. i connected the white wire to the orange. and black to the black.. does it matter which black i connect it to... isnt it only a ground?sorry if thats a rook question

bump

Is the car running when you fire up the HID? What size Headlamp fuses are you running. Assuming its wired correctly, these are two very common problems. The reason I say this is because you said one lamp turns on for a split second and the other stays on. Cobalts run like a 10 amp fuze for each headlamp. It is recommended your run a 20 amp when powering HID directly through the headlight wiring. The 10 amps will usually work if the car is running, but if it isn't, it's possible to blow a fuse or the ballast won't recieve enough power and the headlight will shut off.
