HID Temp Poll
Most people seem to buy hid in a higher color temperature 6000K and up because they look cool because they are blue or voilet, but if all you want is a cool color you can save yourself hundreds of dollars and buy those blue tinted colored bulbs. If you are buying HID you should be looking for functionality over looks IMHO. Stick with 4300K or 5000K You will be happy with them. Just look at the link for the hid colors on page 1 The 8000K -12000K pictures you cannot see much of anything. The 6000K are alright and a decent comprimise if you want that blueish color, but still want to be able to see at night. Also be careful with kits above 6000K the cops may end up pulling you over for having illegal colored headlights. It depends on the cops in your area though.

The 3Bspec stuff is all Shipped to you overnight. His kits come with a 1 year warranty on parts and are very high quality kits that come with a relay harness so you don't burn up your stock wiring.
I have two of his kits. Both are 5,000k. one for the fog lights, and one kit for the 3rd gen projectors i'm running. 3Bspec is local to me and if Operatic would get on the boards here he will tell you i have the most OEM looking aftermarket HID/Projector set-ups he's ever seen. The light out put and cut off line is excellent with the 3rd gen headlights.

What we are all referring to is a part or accessory that is fashion over function. A 4300K HID bulb is more functional than a 12000K bulb... but the 12000K is more flashy. Hence unnecessary... or 'rice'.
didnt you know most people today dont know how to use any form of puncuation they cant spell either like me i cant even spell puncuation correctly do you get my point
Ok guys, enough of me being a smartass. Do you have any pics of 6000K vs. 8000K in projectors i could see??

But on the other hand, 12k fogs have a cool appearance look to them.
Just that some people go for looks rather than visibility. So I still don't how this is rice?
This is how I look at it.....12,000K are purple. Purple is not a street legal illumination color at least where im from. Purple light on MY car = rice IMO.

Try that link cause you can switch around what all the different temps look like. I had 10000K's in a few months ago and honestly, they looked bad-ass b/c they were so blue, but at the same time it's not as bright which kinda hurt them so I switched to 6000K's and they were very white and very bright. I think they're the best choice for someone who wants the best of both worlds. I might try 8000K's next because I like some of the blue look on the road. Pretty unique.
Hope that helps
