Hood/Trunk painted!

Just got my car back from the dealership this morning. Had my carbon fiber hood painted and the spoiler holes on my trunk were filled. These are the pics I took when I got her home.

So what made you paint the carbon fiber hood? I have one and I've been thinking about getting it refinished and maybe painted... surface cracks ftl

I had a crap load of small cracks and a lot of bad rock chips. I think it flows better with the car too.

See I have those small cracks all over it too. That aggravates the hell out of me... Do you know what they did at the shop when the painted it? I assume they just sanded it down some and painted it huh?

He sanded it down some and air bubbles from the original clear coat were popping so he ended up having to pretty much completely sand it down just about to the carbon fiber and I'm not sure what he used to make a new smooth surface and then painted.

I would have done a candy finish over top of the carbon fiber...to expensive not to show what the hood really is made out of

I paid a bit less then you'll be able to get quoted. I know the guy in body work at the dealership I went to.

The hood pretty much had to be completely re-done and I bought it used for $300. Even after this I've paid less then buying a new one and I'm extremely happy with the result.
