I just go to the local do it yourself car wash. Spray tire cleaner then pressure rinse. Looks real good

Where I'm from some of the back roads are partially or completely gravel. And then obviously dust gets on the engine lol.

Probably when they went "hey I've got a lot of dirt in my 50K Mercedes benz. People wash the outside of their car, why not the inside?!?!" and so a star was born on youtube lol

I dont know where you live but let the engine get warm..turn off put tin foul on your air filter and altenator then spray it real good with simple green latch the hood and let the heat from the engine work with the simple green , the steam will losen the tuff stuff...sit for 15 minutes..hit it with light water repeat till you like...then get some f21 turtle wax wheel cleaner foam spray the entire engine back, front side to side then let sit for 10 minutes..let soak..then wipe it down..don't use any more water...found this process off another forum awhile ago

I use MacGuiere's Interior Detailer/Brake Cleaner(for when I get it greasy from working on it.) on everything but mines painted....and I also only clean my engine bay on nice warm days. Otherwise I don't pop my hood for a while, lol. I can't wait for a warm day to come when I have my car out of the garage(fk my luck) so I can wash/wax everything again but until then its the auto car wash with underbody just to keep the salt off of her since I do drive it when its not snowing.
