Ok I got this exhaust for my car the other day, and yes I realize it is a fart can, but it has a silencer so that was a huge plus for me getting it since I don't want my car to have anything more than tone. The only thing is the exhaust is blue carbon fiber and my car is not really blue, my fiance seems to think it will look fine with the color of my car, but I'm not so sure and I'm thinking about covering the carbon fiber with high temp black paint, I already know I'm gonna paint the silencer part black since it will be in 99% of the time, but I'm just wanting some outside opinions from the Cobalt world, so on to the pics.

This is the muffler...

And here's the color of my car...

All votes are appreciated regardless of which one you choose as I don't really care either way, just wanna know what looks best before I put er on. Comments are welcome as are votes. Thanks in advance!

Another thing I'm trying to figure is if I want it to come out kinda sideways or straight out. I really like the way it looks when it comes out angled but has anyone done this that can post a pic? I'd really like to see it on a balt that way. Also another big plus, if you have a sound clip of an exhaust like this on a base model but SS's are fine since eventually I will have the lip kit. Thank in advance again.

i don't think it'll matter either way.. That's like trying to decide what color to paint your springs.. ot the bottom of your seats... yea, I'm sure people will Eventually see it.. but Its not that serious, or that far off your car color(teal..?)

personally I'm not a fan of the angled exhaust tip unless its comin out of an S2000 or Subie, but do what you think'll look good

I had an exhaust like that on my RX-7 and absolutely loved that way it looke, just wondering how it will look on my balt, I think I can pull it off. BTW I am getting a rear lip and sideskirts soon, they aren't the SS style but they will look good when I get an SS front with lip.

My opinions:

Straight out. Never have liked the angled look. To me it just makes it look like a shoddy install job.

As far as color, I could go either way. maybe post a pic with it by the car?

I say black it. No offense but that looks like it's one of those super cheap Ebay mufflers. Carbon on them is super shitty, and will yellow in no time i'm sure.

CF muffler on a cobalt = no. If you're gonna get something like that at least get a rear lip to hide it behind, so it's not just hanging down out in the open.

That's another thing I'm thinking because there isn't a brand name stamped on there anywhere, but as long as it sounds ok with the silencer in I should be golden.
