Acey, you're absolutely correct, but cost comparisons will change anyones outlook when trying to make this on a budget.

VHT would be no issue for me. I've got tinted tails as well. It would be interesting to see how much they shine with tinted tails.
BPacak, unfortunately my design prohibits me from making a perfect circle, but I'll work somethin up for ya and we can see how it goes from there. I may be able to get damn near perfect for ya. but in have a feeling I'ts still gonna look like a halo with about an inch gap of black either way.
Also for those of you doubting how bright these just may be, the blue lights I'm using are 5,000 mcd. the white ones I ordered are 18,000

I'm gonna need to make sure I've got at least 5 orders at a time. otherwise shipping is gonna kill me.! cobalt ss/tc, if you wanna send me lights or whatever for prototyping by all means just shoot me a pm and I'll get ya setup. I will have my lights for inner tails in a few days and my outter tails should show up in a week or so.

so far so good, right now I just need to install my inner tails, I wont be doing my outter tails till I fix my truck, and pay off my 1300 dollar insurance bill for owning my cobalt! ha ha.
