I'm painting it!
So, I'm kind of a poor fellah, no money for the big engine upgrades, and whatnot. So along the way to Baltdom, I've decided to paint up my interior. I'm using krylon black fusion paint, the guys at Autozone said it'd work out well. It has so far, as I can see. I pulled up all the easily detachable pieces of the dash, like just below steering wheel and across, not including glovebox, and down to back end of ebrake/cup holders.
I'm going to be doing the door panels and the entire car black inside black. Some small red accents of paint here and there, and then light it up with LEDs inside the A/C vents if possible, with small 2 or 4 inchers next in the floorbed, like around the pedals and likewise for passenger. Then one singular tube will be placed for the back seats. If I can manage it, I'm going to wire them all to on/off switches up out of view on the driver side, one for back seats and one for front.
Here is pics for the dash so far done...

Well, that is some choice pictures from the ones I took. Anyways, I did the entire thing back, including ebrake. I also did most of the plastic around the seats. I intend to put seat covers over back bench and front bucket seats instead of replacing or trying to paint those with vinyl/cloth stuff. I dont know how the vinyl/cloth stuff would turn out, so I am unwilling right now - unless you guys got some good feedback on it. Mostly what I did was wipe it all down with 409, haha, and then use 2000 grit sand paper. The dude at Autozone had done his own car and suggested this setup. So far it has all worked out really well, and it looks great as much as I can see. He said it was better paint the DupliColor, and that it didn't need priming OR sanding (it said it on the can, too). Also, I used some clear coat but everytime I put some on the plastic shiney pieces, like the seperator between dash and glovebox, it just turned kind of misty across it and it looked bad. I shaked it well, too, for about 2 minutes before spraying. Oh well to that, it still looks good!
What do you guys think? Also, can you suggest any good seat covers I can find for the cobalt that are in black, or black/red. Likewise, what about the vinyl/cloth paint you can get from DupliColor and Krylon? Is it good? Lastly!!! Can I use that stuff on the ceiling of the car? I need to paint the entire thing black and red on the inside.
THanks!

It says the paint bonds to plastic on the can. Here it is at its website:
