L.E.D. Talilights

So i just bought an '09 Black Base Coupe and i was wondering if the lights in the link below (any of them) will work in this model/year? If anyone has them on an '09 lemme know how they look and work and if they were an easy replacement over the stock ones? Thanks everyone!

http://www.wooddashexperts.com/custo...e.php?cat=9161

P.S. Which set would look best with my black car? Let me know!

I personally think that set is ugly regardless of color. I prefer (and have) these:

Just the outside ones are. You can also get an LED 3rd brake light from Modern Performance.

You might be right, maybe it's just the backup light itself that lights up. We never really see the back lights so i can never remeber haha

The modern performance is a 4 piece set, so the backup lights are tinted to match from the company.

The side markers were smoked by the previous owner, with SS logos in them somehow. Whoever he was, he did a helluva job, its one of my favorite small details of the car:

modern performance is the way to go!!!!!!!!!! altho you need a resistor or the turn signals blink fast cuz of the lower call for power. (pics in post 13) but i love mine from them and they look best imo

Interesting. I hate the annoying fast blinking.

Try here for resistors. http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

This is how I spliced mine but yours will more than likely be different because yours are not custom made. All that you want to do is find the wire that is the turn signal and splice the resistor into it. Try to keep the resister away from any plastic because they do get hot enough to melt it.

I have the chrome ones too...and ended up painting them with Duplicolor metalcast anodize red paint. Gave them a nice deep red. In the sunlight the chrome still shines through and makes them look a light red.

Before:

After:
The reason the center ones looks so light is due to the sunlight reflecting off the chrome.

As an option -- Check out the Duplicolor metalcast anodized red -- it lays out smooth with no mottling. Before I sprayed it on my taillights I tried it out on a mirror and was surprized at how well it covered the surface evenly. If you want a "smoked" appearance 4 coats will make it a deep dark cherry red (I just went with 2 coats).

Yea, the inner ones do stick out about 3/4" more than stock. It is due to the inards of the lights -- has a circuit board behind the LEDs. It is nice to have all 4 taillights work, and once you plug them in there are no electrical problems (don't need to use resistors) -- they are "plug and play".
