Yea, the inner ones do stick out about 3/4" more than stock. It is due to the inards of the lights -- has a circuit board behind the LEDs. It is nice to have all 4 taillights work, and once you plug them in there are no electrical problems (don't need to use resistors) -- they are "plug and play".
i was actually talking about heating the glue up and pulling it apart and painting the actual chrome surface w/ victory red paint.

I got some LED tails from eBay. They look like stock ones, but are LED inside. I prefer this look compared to all the funny looking ones out there. I also customized my inners so they light up too.

wow, from look of the last pic from Red07SSNA, those inner lights look like they stick out an extra inch?!? Is it really that noticable or is it the angle or what? I kinda wanted to get these so that all four lit up but this is swaying my decision now! But i guess when i look at Spun's pic above it's not so bad. Are those the black ones or the smoked ones?

Also, can anyone tell me if the 2009 coupe models have the same headlights and tails as all previous model years? Nothing says it's specifically for the '09, products just stop at '08 but i would imagine everything is still the same correct?

i dont understand why everyone is so **** about the inner tails being flush with the trunk? i mean, yeah they stick out an extra half inch or so but now you have 4 working bright ass led tails. i have them and i not once have had a problem with them.. they are plug n play. no resistors or soldering or tapping of wires required.. i love mine.

The camera actually makes them look goofy. I stood at the same position as when I took the picture and it doesn't look like the photo to me. I can't explain it but the pictures never make the lights look good. Everyone who has looked at them - even the ones that didn't like them from photos -- has said they look alright when they see them in person

yea i guess it was already answered but it deals with pulling less power so it blinks fast like when its about to be burned out. resistors are anyone from custom to ebay to websites for modded cars that sell them

yea I know IPCW sells them but I have found them many other places too. like cobalt-addiction, e-bay.....anyway I really want a set. I don't have to many mods to my car yet. for performance wise I will definately change to a turbo eventually. I really want to go all out with a hahn stage 5. but thats a lot of money and I don't have that yet.

appearance wise, I always liked sleepers. but I still want to have some looks ( I know I'm contradicting myself) but I like your tailights I just would want them n either black or stock looking red. The only reason why I don't know is because I can't get enough detail on them. I understand the red ones are basically like stock. but the black ones don't say whats black. I don't know if the black ones have smoked lenses or not.

maybe you know or maybe you've seen other pictures.

i thought i wanted the icpw ones, but man i just blah i don't like how they look now that i see them on a car... im going to go with the modern performance onces, then on the inner lights i'm going to have the red paint matched to the car so only part visible is the reverse light... pretty sure thats what i'm going to do now.
