I'm looking for something that probably, because I'm the one looking, doesn't exist. Some kind of a cover to cover the top of the engine in my SS/TC. Ideally a carbon fiber cover. Any ideas??

There are 2 metal covers currently available to cover the coil area -- MRZ and DDM Works versions. I like the DDM Works version because it is more level with the open area. If you notice the Valve Cover is not assymetrical; the fwd cam "hump" is higher than the aft cam "hump". The DDM Works cover is available powder coated in different colors as well as flat, semi-flat, gloss, and "crinkle".

DDM Works Cover on 2.4:

The SS/SC coil covers are nice and neat...won't work on the 2.2/2.4 w/VVT or the TC. the coils stick out to far, the coil wiring goes out the side (to the rear), and the Valve Cover is not straight across...

It was to relieve crank case pressure under high boost. Has since gone back to a regular oil cap

I didn't 2.4 VC is similar to the TC VC (and 08 2.2/LAP VC). The DDM Works coil cover is listed for the 2.4 and 2.0 TC...

here's a pic of my engine bay. i also made my own coil cover. i think it looks similar to the one ddmworks makes. I also made one for my buddy's 08 2.2 G5 and we are putting one on a friend's 08 SS/TC next.

I'm told the coil cover by DDM Works will work on the Cobalt SS/TC but I can't find a listing for it on their site. Somebody want to give me a link? In the meantime MRZ Performance is considering making a engine cover for the TC. The stuff I've seen from them is really nice. They would like to know how much interest there would be for this. I propose a stainless ENGINE cover that would have more coverage than just the coils. It could be engraved according to the customers specs. A list of those interested would help them determine if there is enough interest to make the effort to design and build this item worthwhile.

Please just add your name and send this on. Thanks.
