Looking for some Wheel painting help

So here it is winter in Ohio and I would like to paint my stock T/C wheels black. I am not sure what kind of paint I need, I do not want to spray them out of a can by any means I would prefer to use a gun. I plan to use an aluminum primer but are there any brands of paint or clear that is better then others? Will the ready to shoot paints and clears work for this applicatoin. Lacquer, acrylic, enamel? I really would like to try this myself and not pay someone.

just g to a local place and ask them what u should use. people have different opinions and its hard to recommend paints to people who are too knowledgeable. u can do a single stage if u don want an amazing finish and its easy to spray. its clear and paint in one.

Plasti dip is not an option and I do not really want to powder coat them because once it chips there is no touching it up I have been told. I would really like to do a base coat, clear coat for durability. I will be prepping the wheels myself.
