Do you see the way you worded the above post? Thats like saying "09 Cobalts are turbocharged and have 260 hp".

i hate when people pose! the main reason it prob bothers me is cause it gives an ss a bad rep for ex.- some one races an ls w? an ss kit and beats it with there civic or whatever and now that person losses the respect for any ss and will go brad to all there budies that they waled an ss when they realy didnt. just like when pepole try to make a neon lokk like an srt4.... f@@@ing bullshit.

sory but heres the def. for u guys who r "not posing"

poser-
–noun a person who poses

poses-
–verb (used without object) 1. to assume a particular attitude or stance, esp. with the hope of impressing others: He likes to pose as an authority on literature.
2. to present oneself insincerely: He seems to be posing in all his behavior.
3. to assume or hold a physical attitude, as for an artistic purpose: to pose for a painter.

sorry just my .02

well im not trying to sound like a jackass. but really idc.

dont do it.

1. your turning the car into something that its not.

2. your giving the people that went out and bought the true ss a bad name, any time you floor it now and it almost stock people will just laugh and think cobalts are jokes.

3.if you wanted better visual apperance...should have sucked it up and waited to get a REAL SS.

4. by the time you build up your 2.2 inside and out you have spent enough money to buy a real one.

5.and this is comming from a fellow 2.2 owner.

Im half and half with you on that. If its an LT then it should remain an LT. That is unless you introduce forced induction into the loop

Just to clarify...

The 2009 Cobalt 2LT w/ Sport Appearance Package ($995) looks identical to SS/NA and '08 Sport.

Not many of the LT's have the package... haven't personally seen one. Not sure if they also have rear discs.

well this is getting a little out of hand.

so here is my last statement.

op its your choice dude and its your money, so you can do whatever you want with it. i only put in my input because you asked for it. if you did not want negative comments, you should have stated so.

after my first post things blew way out of proportion, just because some people didnt like that i didnt think you should do it. so, therefore, i apologize for making my first post and wasting several people's time as well as mine.

as i stated before, its your car and you can do as you choose. just beware in the future when you ask for opinions, there will always be someone who doesnt like it.

with all of that said: happy modding

That's not a legit question... It's the wrong "either-or"

Sedan or Coupe would have been the proper way.

OR - Sedan or 2 door.

The 2.2 is the engine size.

The answer to your question is that picture is the rear of a Coupe (2-door)

Here

Is what the back end of a Sedan SS looks like.

It seems that you misunderstood my question. I was asking if the rear lip was attached to a LS/LT (2.2) sedan rear bumper or a SS/Sport (2.4) sedan rear bumper.

And you are wrong, that pic I was referring to is of a sedan with the SS SC/TC rear lip attached to it. It's pretty obvious due to the tail lights. Even the poster said it is a sedan.

Again I was asking what bumper the lip is attached to, since the LS/LT sedan rears are different than the SS/Sport sedans rears.

It is on a 2.2.

I stand corrected. SS Sedans don't come with that lip that's why I assumed it was a coupe. I see the lights now. I was just looking at the bottom of it. As you can see from mine, the SS Sedan definately doesn't have the lip.

Good luck with your question and quest to get the kits. In all honesty I do like that body kit on that grey sedan. You should possibly consider that one.
