Car was wrecked... Took it to a body shop... Came back looking like this... Want it fixed NOW...

I told the body shop that this is NOT what comes on an SS.. Exact response was, "Well all I do is plug in the serial number and this is what pops up".. Also said that whatever I HAD on there, HAD to of been aftermarket... and I had nothing....

As embarrassing as it is, here's some pics to better explain everything..

After doing a tad more research... it looks like the cross bar that I want, is part of the bumper..? Is that correct? So all i'd need to do is remove this chrome thing, and get the chevy badge?

 

meh... looks like **** but i would start with plasti-dip and see how it looks black... unless the chrome thing comes off- then just do that.

that chrome piece was optional on 05's only IIRC... it was never on an SS and should just be double back taped on from what ive seen... badges are 28 bucks shipped from CED IIRC

 

So a badge should be all i'm missing, correct? Take this chrome thing off, and then i'll just need a badge?

 

try taking off the bowtie with the 2 bolts in the back and see if the chrome pops off

 

2 bolts on the backside of the bowtie, take em out, and chrome should pop off?

I installed one as a dealer option on an LT and it required you to cut the factory bumper crossbar out. Might want to check that out asap!

 

Maybe try taking a picture in of before and after? and show them?

I'd call the manager dude...that would **** me off

 

Factory crossbar is part of the bumper.... so they'd have to order me a new bumper also, correct?

I fought all I could.. they said that's how it comes from the factory....

Anyone know what a complete new bumper will cost? Also, will it come painted?
And can anyone tell if that is the correct grille (or whatever you wanna call it) for the SS/SC?

 

It will nto come painted and yes that appears to be the right grille for an SC.

I don't beleive that is the correct grill.....because of how big the flat piece is for that chrome trim piece....it looks like a diff grille too.

 

They screwed up. You can show them pictures of the car immediately before they got it. They need to make it right. I'd be all over them and if they don't make it right I'd have my insurance company get all over them.
