lol nope. 1" hood spacers. keeps bay temps way cooler and keeps coolant around 180, rather than almost 200.

Well apparently plastidip is susceptible to WD40. I sprayed some on my studs since I have open ended lug nuts and apparently some of it ran onto the wheel and to the ground. It left a long streak on the wheel spoke and almost dissolved some of the plastidip. When I rubbed the mark with my thumb it rubbed off onto me. Lame.

It's only a thin rubber coat. Gasoline does that to it too. Works well if you have any overspray on your brake calipers in case the plastic you used to mask it parts....

Aaahhh good idea. Seems like I could circle the block and have a tv dinner fully cooked on my engine.. I've wanted to.course out a section of my hood toward the front between hood supports and put in a wire mesh, but I had a evo style hood on my old civic and the engine always got dirt and the oil dipstick went from a bright orange to a faded white color and the plastic deteriorated from if exposure

When dipping wheels is it better to have the tires on or off?

i dont really think it would matter but i'm thinking about adding some color when i get new tires so that'd be the perfect time really...

If tires are on just do the card trick.

On. With new tires. Chances are, they will eff up your existing plasti dip when removing tires. Is that "Vintage Gold"?

Or make it thick enough to where it comes off in one piece off the tire.

Did you put anything on top of the vintage gold? Most of the pictures I've seen of it look a bit dull, but yours looks pretty bright.

Could use some help deciding what color to go with next.. Have a few in mind but I'm not really sold on any of them 100%. I'd like to stay away from the blues because that's what it is currently. Any thoughts are helpful.

Teal

Red Rum Candy Pearl

British Racing Green

These are just the 3 that sparked my interest but if you can think of any other colors that could be interesting shout em out!

Really hope that stuff peels ok with the standard clear coat on it!

Thanks!

Yeah I have a recipe (can we call it that?) for the red. It's a pretty simple mixture actually.

Matte Black base coat
1 Gallon Matte Clear
1 Gallon Glossifier
1/2 qt. Naphtha
2 Bottle Red Tint
1/2 Bottle Black Tint
100 Grams Red Rum Candy Pearl
