What do you guys think of the white bowtie? I used to have it dipped black with the chrome outline. Cant decide what i like better. Also thinking about dipping the wheels anthracite.

This is the only picture I could find with the black bowtie, when it was in winter mode last year.

Thanks! Im thinking once i dip my wheels darker the black would look better again. Its a tough choice lol. I just feel like the white makes it look like a bigger badge because the chrome is covered.

dips already starting to show wear and tear on the emblems. Only 4 months or so and a lot of driving/touch less car washes.

Note to self: Don't turn pressure washer on max pressure around plasti-dip. Oops.

so i just bought a truck and im thinking about dipping it camo green... my question is: I am on a tight budget, can i get away with buying the cans of plasti dip to do the vehicle or would i need to buy the whole car kit from DYC with the sprayer and all that? I really dont want to have to buy that if i dont have to. Cost of the full truck sized kit is like $500, but i could just buy like 20 cans of spray for $160... what do you guys think?

pics of truck.

You could but it wouldnt come out as smooth as if u did it with the dyc gun. The rattle cans do actually have a small fan spray so it can be done and not look completely horrible

yeah i saw the spray handle that attaches to the top of the cans. i dont need it to be perfect, its just for the truck which is my winter vehicle. its going to be covered in dirt mud and salt all the time so i dont really care how smooth or perfect the finish is

Dirt, mud, and salt are just going to ruin the dip.
Leave it how it is.

If hes trying to protect his paint and he just leaves it on for winter then maybe he should dip it. Id much rather have salt ruin a dip job than ruin my paint job

I lived in Ohio all of my life; salt does not ruin paint. Rust ruins cars because people don't wash all that **** off of them or get an undercoating to protect it.

But that gun doesnt make it look l t look like ****. Bt in my opinion. The ony need fr the dyc gun is if youll be dipping often n then its best to buy the predip. The cleaner. Gallons of paint. Gloss. Filters. Everything. Or if its uncommon of you to paint. Just. Get cans n follow the "how to" instructions

this is basically what i was thinking. The truck is going to be undercoated to protect from rust underneath, but i figured the dip would help save the fenders, rockers, etc etc
