Rice, that set looks amazing!
I'm thinking of opening up my set back up when it gets warmer and installing some of those led strips as DRL's. Which led strips do you usually use for your builds?
What kind of black paint do you use to paint the housings?

Running a special!
Focusing on the cobalts here but others may get involved, understanding the basic price may change depending on how much new headlights cost.
The special is flat rate labor at 150 (EDIT: SPECIAL FOR FORUM MEMBERS ONLY 130, SEE BOTTOM FOR DETAILS), where usually I itemize everything.
New 'smoked SS lense' headlights - 115
-OR-
Send me your existing headlights!
Just projectors, bulbs, shrouds and adapters (for those who already have an HID kit) 210
-OR-
Full morimoto projector kit w/ shrouds of your choice, HIDs, ballasts, and plug and play harnesses - 320
Add (free swtichback option) halos - 50
Add LED switchback turn signals - 50
Total - $360 - $685 plus shipping! Send me your existing headlights to save more!
I can either leave it all chrome, or strip the chrome off making everything black. Add $10 for custom paint colors.
130 Forum members pricing for sets with no halos and/or painting involved

So maybe a dumb question, but I'm in the process of making my retros and I want to do a gloss black housing and gloss red shroud and paint gloss red over the amber marker where the 194 bulb goes.. I order some switchbacks and my question is, will the red from the side marker show in my white running light at all? I can't imagine it will much, if any. I've seen pics on here of this setup, but none with the running lights on.

if you're asking if the red will be illuminated by your switchback bulb, yes it will. no a crazy amount, and be sure to remove the 194 bulbs from behind it/maybe tape off behind the lense to be sure no light is 'emitted' from behind, as it's illegal to have red 'lights' on the front of the car.
Well I'm gonna show off Snail_ss's lights a bit before he gets the chance to
These are pretty cool. Mainly because I love the idea of a white balt with black headlights and white accents in them haha.
These have actually a combination of two different shroud styles, both of which have been modded extensively to mend with eachother and create the popular evil eye and take it to a new level. - E55R shrouds have had 3/4 of the outer area cut out, and then I trimmed and affixed the clear portions of panamera shrouds to the back of them... Usually the 'evil eye' look is achieved via a single 80mm halo on the front of the shroud; these however have both 110mm AND 120mm's behind the clear part!

He also went all out like the straight up g that he is and opted for the turn signal bowl led strips and led signals as well... all of this is switcback of course lol
add some glossy black housings paired with smoked lenses and blue demon eyes and we got ourselves a killer as set on our hands.

lit the F up... who needs HIDs lmao

Another cool thing about these is the white sidemarkers, which pretty much GLOW when everythings white but also turn amber when the signals are on lol

does anyone know of anywhere you can buy replacement headlight lenses? the retros i built 2 years ago have had the lense pit and surface crack, they look like 15 year old neglected headlights. one is worse than the other. id just hate to have to buy another entire set of headlights just to use the lenses and have them do the same thing in a couple years
You can take them to a paint and body shop and they can send them down and re clear coat them and it will last longer then getting new lens which I don't think we cam get just lens without buying another set of headlamps
