Oil Cap from Modern Performance

For those of you wondering... unless I'm dumb.. It doesn't fit on the 2.2L motors.

What the hell can I use then? It's got the plastic extender on it that makes it stick out like 4 inches from my nicely powder coated valve cover.

Any ideas?

It doesn't work? I was about to get one of those too. Do you have picture with it on?

BTW, I'll be getting my valvecover back from the powdercoating place this week.

on the valve cover.

From what I can tell the old plug is much bigger than the new cap. I pulled the old cap out, and tried putting the new one in, but it's not even close to being snug.

I'm tired of having the raised cap.

did you remove the stock oil cap riser? Also a lot of the aftermarket caps will only go on one way, meaning you will have to turn it till it drops in and then tighten it. Don't know if any of this may be your problem or not but just a though

Yeah, definitely sounds like your riser is still on.

Let me ask a different question. Is there a 2.2L WITH the cap?

i've pulled the riser, it makes no difference. Cap is too small.

The only difference is the diameter of the oil cap plug itself. I believe dodge's have a 1.2" opening while chevy's are a little bigger... 1.25" i believe.

i got a cf mobile 1 cap off of ebay and it fits great. I think they had it listed for a corvette but the seller was very knowledgeable and said that without a doubt it would fit and it did. Here is a pic of mine installed

Thanks all i did was remove the gay plastic cover, the metal poles that it snaps onto, removed the oil cap riser, replaced the oil cap and the stock air box. I replaced the air box with the injen intake, added a cf fuel rail cover, powder coated the valve, cover, and a strut bar.
