Paint

So I will be getting my Balt painted soon. Its black now but I love the look of flat black on cars. The fender and hood is flat black (primed) and I just love the look. So I wanted to see what you all think. Flat black (clear coated ofcourse) or the black the car came with?

flat black is just a trend. i wouldnt paint it flat black. it wont be popular in a year or two and you will end up owning a very dated looking car(like all the guys with teal and pink muscle cars, hello 1992). most of the really nice flat black cars are wrapped anyway.

Painting cars flat black goes back a LONG long ways. Not to be confused with the ricer flat black, aka, plain primer.

I'd go with flat black. First car I ever worked on was a resto on a 1960s GTO that ended up flat black. *DONE PROPERLY* flat black looks REALLY good, the problem is too few people take the time or pay the money to have it done properly.
