Paint for Gauge Pillar

I didn't see any post that recommended anything specific, so I'm asking:

I just got an Aeroforce gauge and a dual gauge pillar - what is a good paint to color-match to the silver/black trim of a black 09 SS/TC? I'm planning on sanding down any flashing on the new pillar, plastic-primering it, then finish coating, and it'd be nice to know what people have had success with.

do u want to match the silver or the black? they are 2 totally different colors... closest possible match would be to get a gms paint code for it and have a paint supply store match it up. spray paints a hit or miss deal

unfortuantely you wont find anything close to the tan a pillar. if you do it wont have that greyish mix in there. all of thats done via injection mold. most you will find is a solid tan/beige or whatever it is

You know - your right. I pulled my stocker and brought them both together in the same light, and damn if it isn't the same speckled/tan/grey "whatever" color! I didn't know whether to be happy they match, or upset that those pillars are actually that ugly when you look closely at them!

Either way, no need to paint, so the new dual gauge pod is in, and the Aeroforce gauge is now spitting numbers at me from above the stock gauge. I'm a happy dawg.
