paint job time

i want to get my car repainted... right now its Blue/Granite... i love the color, but i want black or orange now....


so question is... what about the engine bay since they are the same color as our cars?

take the trim off the engine bay and spray paint it black

I would say you will either have to pull the engine...

Or...

Mask EVERYTHING off under the hood and go nuts with the sprayer.

Either way it is probably going to be a pian in the @ss.

Are you thinking one solid color for the whole car?

I agree with chipsgt........ Mostly..

Although removing the engine CAN be a pain in the ass, it's the best way to get the results of a professional job. Therefore, it's the easiest. If that makes any sense to you.

Right! If you want the best possible paint job, yank it out of there.
Using the second suggestion would in essence be half assing it.

So I guess it depends on what you want.

And to the OP, I know this is not what you were saying, but if you do paint it, and then go to trade it in, you are going to get a LOT less for it because the paint wont match the VIN number.

As a matter of fact, I am not 100% sure you would be ABLE to trade it in at that point as I am not certain a dealer would take it.

But who knows.... Its just a guess and something you might want to look into first.

get rid of it and get ur ideal car from the start. it will be worth the extra money. alot less hassle too.
