Alright so I had some spare time and finally got to painting my front bowtie. I was going to go with a color match, but when me and my buddy got to the parts store we started looking around. I ended up going with flat black and leaving the chrome trim....I think it looks pretty good. What do you guys think?

While we were at the store my decided he wanted to throw an extra project at me. So my quick bowtie paint job turned into a paint job taking many hours....the last two pictures will explain it.











Heres my second "suprise" job. My buddy decided he wanted his frame painted chrome. It had been painted black, but it was chipping and looked like ****.

So what do you guys think? Im no expert body guy, but I think it came out alright lol.

Came out dope!! I'm assuming you didn't clearcoat it. Lookout for chipping tho

Thanks. Yah I didnt clear it, I told him to be careful with it. My car is Imperial Blue. It was the color I wanted, and when I went shopping for the car it was the only SS/TC in MA for sale and it just happened to be that color... I lucked out.

you should paint your grille flat black too!!
get krylon fusion for plastic. satin black
will look a lot better with the painted bowtie.

 

the natural plastic of the grille basically is flat black... it matches the bowtie already

well it kinda is but it kinda is grey lol
sprayed flat black looks better than the color it is now
i got a ss grille and painted it black and it looks good

 

yah we'll see....maybe Ill end up doing it later on.

looks good! I think all TC grills should come stock black! I dunno why do go with gray.
